Papou Vadai


Ingredients:

• 1/2litre Rice Powder
• 100gms Bengal Gram Dal
• 1/4litres Oil
• 50gms Cashew nut
• 10gms Black Pepper
• 1tbsp Cumin seeds
• 1tsp Salt

Method

-Fry rice powder
-Soak bengalGramdal for 1 hour, filter and add with the rice powder.
-Add coarsely powdered cashew, pepper, cumin, mix with the rice powder.
-Add sufficient salt and hot water, to prepare lime sized balls.
-Flatten each balls thin size and fry in hot oil in golden color.

VIVIKUM


Ingredients:

  • 500gmsRawa
  • 500grmsSugar
  • 200grmsGhee
  • 100grmsCashew
  • 100grmsRaisins
  • 250litreCoconut milk
  • 6Eggs
  • 2tspVanilla Essence
  • 1tspCaraway seeds
  • 1/2tspBaking powder

Method:

  1. Fry rawa in little ghee, add baking powder and leave it to soak for one day.
  2. Beat well egg and sugar.
  3. Add soaked rawa, cashew, raisins, essence to the egg mixture.
  4. Add coconut milk and let it soak for half-a-day.
  5. The mixture should be of cake batter consistency.
  6. Bake it.
