Prawn Pickle

Ingredients

500grms Shelled Prawn
250grms Gingly oil
200grms red chilly
200 ml vineger
100grm Salt
150grms Ginger(paste)
150grms Garlic(paste)
2tsps Cumin Seed
1tsp Mustard Seed
1tsp Fenugreek seed
1tsp Turmeric Powder

Method
1. Soak red chilly in 100ml of vineger for 1or2 days and grind to fine past using the same vineger
2. Fry mustard seed,cumin seed,and fenugreek seed without oil and powder them ,keep it aside.
3. Cook prawn adding salt and turmeric powder.






4. In a Kadai heat 1/2of the oil and lighty fry the boiled prawn till water evaporate and soak it in 50ml of vinegar for 1 day.






5. In the same oil fry ginger garlic paste till oil comes out.




6. Now add the fried and soaked prawn, chilly past ,remaining salt ,the powdered ingrediends, remaining oil, vinegar and heat on slow fire for 5 minutes.



7. Store it in a clean and tight fit container.See that there should be always a layer of oil in the pickle.

N:B In the same preparation the fried prawn can be coarsly smashed in a mixie and added with the ginger garlic paste.
